Carry on – Songs for eternity.
„Carry on“ not only represents Anne Haigis's current tour, but also her life, her work, her drive, and not least her 40 years ‘on stage’. 15 studio and live albums, along with countless solo and collaborative projects, round out the life of this extraordinary singer, whose journey - driven by the “small-town blues” - led from the deepest Black Forest to Los Angeles and Nashville.
Her songs are indelibly connected with artistic kindred spirits, personal encounters, and significant experiences. Discovered by jazz pianist Wolfgang Dauner, among her companions are Melissa Etheridge, Eric Burdon, Nils Lofgren, Tony Carey, Edo Zanki, Wolf Maahn, and the “Harlem Gospel Singers”. It is songs like “No man’s land” – written specifically for the trio Haigis/Carey/Burdon by Tony Carey - that symbolize energy and authenticity for Anne Haigis.
