"Football Fever" - interaktive family exhibition

From 17 May to 3 November 2024, the interactive family exhibition “Fußballfieber – Fußballgeschichte(n) aus Rheinland-Pfalz” [“Football Fever – Football Stories from Rhineland-Palatinate”] offers entertaining and informative insight to football fans and anyone who wants to learn more about the world’s most popular sport.

Come along and embark on an interactive adventure  through the multifaceted universe of the world’s most popular sport. Take a look back on 75 years of football history in Rhineland-Palatinate, with stories, personal anecdotes and curiosities that are sure to generate many moving moments. Did you know that besides 1. FC Kaiserslautern, three other football clubs from Rhineland-Palatinate have been German football champions? Or that the first official international match involving the women’s national team was held at the Oberwerth Stadium in Koblenz? Find out more about women’s and amateur football, the two football associations in the state, the path from the pitch at the local recreation ground to the Bundesliga and the rules of the game.

The exhibition provides a fun and informative visit for football fans, families and anyone who wants to find out more about the most popular sport in the world. The main focus is on fun and games. As such, both young and old football he-roes and any other interested people are invited to discover the different versions and forms of the game of football in a playful manner by trying out the various activities set up in indoor and outdoor areas of the exhibition.
