Wine & architecture in the Hugo Hower winery building date back to 1884, when the builders of Lieser Castle laid the first foundation stones in the small Moselle village of Lieser. At the end of 2024, the Hugo Hower winery was recognised by Via mosel' as a winery with remarkable architecture. The Hugo Hower winery also opens its doors on the 1st weekend in April for the annual ‘Portes Ouvertes’. In addition to enjoying the wine, get to know the more than 100-year-old walls of the building and learn more about the history of the building and its connection to Lieser Castle on a guided tour including a small wine tasting.
