Mesenicher Steinreichskäpp cultural trail

  • Cochem

With the help of themed panels and sculptures, the topics of geology, man and history are creatively presented.

The focus of the cultural path is on the person who created the Moselle culture in the field of tension between nature and landscape. Here in Mesenich, the central themes are grouped around geology: water, stone and wine - this short formula is followed by the content and design of the hiking trail, which is also suitable for prams. It is above all the heads of the Mesenich people, carved in stone, as well as the playful handling of stones that make the "Steinreichskäpp" (the traditional nickname of the Mesenich people) so special. Along the approx. 2.5 km long path, which almost continuously offers a magnificent view of the Moselle village, hikers are also given the opportunity to be creative and sporty with stones.
