The city of Koblenz has been the Mecca of classical guitar for over 20 years: over 300 students, concert artists, lecturers and jurors from around 50 nations come together at several venues in Koblenz for the annual eight-day festival. In over 20 concerts, the world's guitar elite present themselves to enchant friends of the art of guitar playing. In addition to the concerts, the festival offers workshops, master classes and lectures, and the "Junior Guitar Academy" offers individual lessons and technical group lessons to support young guitarists from an early age. Throughout the week, 30 guitar builders, string manufacturers and music publishers will also be exhibiting their products. The festival enjoys the highest esteem in the music world, as the trade press has long regarded it as a "pantheon in honour of the classical guitar".
