In 2009 I, winemaker Matthias Schunk founded our small family business as a sideline. The total size of our vineyards is about 10,000 square meters. On it grows primarily Riesling vines. A small part is planted with the grape varieties Kerner, Pinot Noir and Reichen Steiner, which we do not grow ourselves. Due to the optimal climatic conditions in our steep and terraced vineyards, the Riesling can ripen very well and, in connection with our well-known slate soils, develops very spicy, but also fruity wines. Wine sales and tasting of our wines are possible on request.
