The beautiful wine town of Zell lies on the picturesque Moselle bend between Koblenz and Trier. There is so much to tell about this beautiful little town as it was founded after the year 70 AD. The street Corray, for example, where the holiday flat is located, was once a village in its own right. Today, Zell has around 4,300 inhabitants on just under 4,500 hectares (including the districts of Merl, Kaimt, Barl and Zell Althaus), of which around 400 hectares are planted with vines, or almost 4 million vines. This makes the town one of the largest wine-growing communities. The most famous vineyard in the world is the "Zeller schwarze Katz". With around 270 hectares of vineyards, it is one of the largest wine-growing areas on the Moselle.
