Welcome to GrafenNest – a lovingly renovated former stock farmer's house that combines history, stylish coziness, and modern comfort. The house takes its name from the historical era of counts and countesses in the region around Wadern and uniquely connects natural paradise with urban living.
The vacation home is located quietly on a one-way street yet right in the heart of Wadern. Supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, and the bus station are within easy walking distance. Whether it’s Italian pizza, Indian specialties, Turkish cuisine, traditional German gastronomy, or ice cream at a café – everything is in the immediate vicinity. At the same time, guests at GrafenNest enjoy a relaxed, almost hidden retreat oasis with Mediterranean flair.
The GrafenNest is ideal for families, nature lovers, and active vacationers. Playgrounds and a large park are only about a three-minute walk away. We are happy to provide our guests with personal recommendations for family-friendly outings, cafés, hikes, and activities in the area – many of which we have personally tested and discovered over the years.
The region around Wadern is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Saarland and is known for its excellent premium hiking trails around the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig and the famous Traumschleifen.
Particularly practical for active vacationers is the bicycle and hiking room. Here, guests find secure parking options for bicycles and e-bikes, including charging facilities. A small workbench with tools, hangers, and storage space offers additional comfort for hiking, cycling, and even dog equipment.
Nature, forests, streams, rock formations, and beautiful viewpoints make the surroundings particularly diverse.
The region also has much to offer culturally: Château Dagstuhl, the historical castle ruin Dagstuhl, museums in and around Wadern, and the impressive Celtic ring wall in Otzenhausen make GrafenNest the perfect starting point for discoveries between nature and history.
Popular destinations such as Lake Bostal or Lake Losheim additionally offer bathing, recreational, and relaxation opportunities. Thanks to its location at the tripoint, guests can also quickly reach cities and regions like Trier, Saarbrücken, Luxembourg, or France – ideal for varied day trips.

A deposit of 100% will be charged upon booking.
Cancellations up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge; cancellations between 14-7 days before arrival will incur 50% of the total costs, and cancellations within 7 days before arrival will incur 100% of the total costs.
Check-in is possible from 3 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Check-out is possible between 12:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner for arrangements if necessary.
The key handover takes place via a key safe. You will receive the code/location in good time before your arrival.
Free parking spaces are located directly in front of the house on the street or at nearby parking lots.
There are also charging stations for electric vehicles.
A baby cot can be provided free of charge upon request.
Pets are allowed (maximum 2 pets) for a fee of €30 per stay.
