Your time out - in the south of the Eifel-Region
On top of the hill above the picturesque Kyll-valley near Kordel is the place called Hochmark, where house Ilex is located in the „Meulenwald“. In the year 2012 it was named the German Forest of the year, there where the close starting point welcomes our guests for larger or smaller hikes of varying difficulties.
Not only the „Quadropole-Region“ (Trier, Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken) offers many artefacts regarding history and architecture, less famous places in the area proudly present wittnesses of celtic, roman or frankonian origin, which shouldn‘t be ignored.
If you like to dive into the rural atmosphere, visit the idyllic places along the rivers Moselle, Saar, Sauer or Kyll and taste the fruits of the regional markets, listen to concerts and go to exhibitions of local art. Despite the various dialects spoken, you will surely enjoy participating in one or the other event.

The minimum-stay is 5 nights. The price includes costs for energy, parking, end-cleaning as well as linen and towels for bath, kitchen and bedrooms. Pets are not allowed. W-LAN available.

On route B 422 you drive into direction Kordel. At the bridge over the river Kyll take the route L43 in direction to Daufenbach; after approximately 30 m you turn to the right to Hochmark on street K 29. After 3 km of driving through the woods there is a sharp turn to the right (don’t go straight to the restaurant; there will be a dead end!!). After further 100 m you turn to the left and you enter the 3rd lane to the right.
