Ancient Town Hall

Old Kinheim town hall

The old Kinheim town hall, which is now privately owned, was built as a council and fire station and dedicated on 29 April 1928.

In addition to the golden inscription "Rathaus Kinheim", it shows the coat of arms of the Cröver Reich, to which Kinheim has always belonged. The double-headed eagle points to the imperial immediacy as a former Carolingian crown estate, while the shield with the chequered pattern refers to the Counts of Sponheim, who had the Kröv Empire as a hereditary fief.
