The Säubrennerroute is an interesting connection between the popular long-distance hiking trail Eifelsteig and the lively Säubrenner town of Wittlich. With start and finish in Wittlich or in the Wittlicher Land and an overnight stay, the tour is ideal as a short weekend hiking break and offers an exceptionally diverse mix of nature and cultural enjoyment. Highlights of the tour between the Moselle and Eifel are fascinating distant views, dreamy vineyard passages, idyllic forest paths, multi-faceted landscape formations, historic mills, impressive churches and villas and imposing red sandstone rocks. With two daily stages of 22 and 20 km and an overnight stay in one of our hiker-friendly accommodations, the motto of the Eifelsteig "Where rock and water accompany you" becomes tangible in body and soul. Via the connecting trail from Dreis to Hupperath, the Säubrenner route can also be divided and hiked in two attractive circular tours.
