This museum provides an impressive overview about the life and the work of the Hunsrücker population of the Roman's time until the present. A still intact mill and numerous finds of the Roman settlement are presented Many original objects of the later time show the visitor a cross section by the not always easy life of the Hunsrück inhabitant . Slate mining, flax, linen production, the various stages of wood processing, numerous agricultural equipment up to "Grandma Hunsrück kitchen", everything was put together in this museum with great attention to detail and carefully documented, so the peculiarities and idiosyncrasies, the culture and tradition of the Hunsrück are vividly illustrates.
