  • Neef

On the Petersberg there is a romantic chapel with an old mountain cemetery.

"Petersberg" chapel

The Romanic chapel on the hill "Petersberg" with the old hill cemetary. It will be assumed that to the terrain of the chapel had be a hill sanctuary at the times of the Romans. Findings of sealed clay bricks incicate this. The choir of the chapel stem from the 12/13 centuary, the greatest part of the building built up about the 16/17 centuary. The artistic altar atachment in the choir is a work of the late renaissance with "Knorpelwerkornametik" (midcentuary 17 th) .
