Visit the Koblenz cable car and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress as a special excursion destination. The breathtaking cable car ride across the Rhine up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress should not be missed on any visit to Koblenz. Enjoy a spectacular view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley" from one of the 18 panorama cabins. For a special treat, one of the cabins has a glass floor. With a length of almost 850 metres and up to 7000 passengers per hour, the Koblenz cable car is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, outside the Alps.

Since the 2011 Federal Garden Show in Koblenz, one of the most modern cable car systems in Europe connects the Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer on one side with the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress on the other. The cable car ride across the Rhine is considered an absolute highlight and should be on every visitor's to-do list in Koblenz. The panorama cabins not only offer a breathtaking view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley", but also the Deutsches Eck, the Electoral Palace and the fortress can be admired from a height of 112 metres over a length of 850 metres. The cable car also has the highest transport capacity per hour of any aerial cable car, meaning that more than 7,000 guests can be transported per hour, and all of this is completely environmentally friendly with an excellent ecological balance.
