Our winery is located on the outskirts of the wine village of Leiwen and is surrounded by our 'house vineyard', the Leiwen monastery garden. We cultivate ten hectares of vineyards, including seven top vineyards on the Middle Moselle. My vines grow exclusively in very mineral soils characterized by Moselle schist.

Already in the third generation there is the winery Blees Ferber. It is located in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Germany near the large Mosel loop of Leiwen and Trittenheim. The winery itself is very idyllic in the middle of the beautiful vineyard landscape, in the family's home vineyard, the Leiwener Klostergarten. It cultivates around 11ha of high-quality vineyards with 88% Riesling and 4% each of Rivaner, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, including definitely top sites such as Leiwener Laurentiuslay, Trittenheimer Apotheke, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Piesporter Gärtchen (site under sole ownership), Neumagener Rosengärtchen as well as the fantastic monopollage Neumagener Sonnenuhr with its excellent Riesling Non Plus Ultra.
In the vineyards, they work consistently close to nature with organic fertilization and limited pruning. The careful handling of the vines and the selection of the grapes, a very gentle processing, temperature-controlled fermentation and finally an individual aging in stainless steel tanks and still some oak barrels, produce very clear and pure wines, which again clearly embody the top sites and the terroir.
Climate, vineyard terroir and the age of the vines are the most important requirements for outstanding and excellent wines. In this winery, these conditions are present in combination with many years of experience and a lot of fun in winemaking.
