Vineyard in the middle of greenery

Maximin Grünhaus wine estate in Mertesdorf

The Maximin Grünhaus winery is one of the most renowned in Germany. The unique, former monastery complex has been privately owned by the von Schubert family since 1882. Riesling, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc are grown on 34 hectares with the highest quality standards and fermented spontaneously. The vines grow on three monopollages directly opposite the estate. All three sites are classified as VDP.GROSSE LAGEN and are named after the old monastery hierarchy: Bruderberg, Herrenberg and Abtsberg. Wines with a world-wide reputation are produced here. Our portfolio is divided into the estate bottlings Maximin Grünhaus (with VDP eagle) and our wine brand MAXIMIN*.

All wines are vinified according to the guidelines of our strict quality philosophy.
