100 years of the Gornhausen Fire Brigade – anniversary weekend with rock night, hands-on technology, and a colorful family program.
A special anniversary is approaching: The volunteer fire department Gornhausen is celebrating its 100th anniversary! Since its founding on February 26, 1926, it has been in the service of safety and the common good – a proud occasion that we would like to celebrate together.
On the weekend of June 13 to 14, 2026, we warmly invite you to the community center Gornhausen.
Saturday, June 13, 2026, kicks off at 6 PM with an atmospheric Classic Rock night. As usual, the support association will take care of your culinary needs, while the band "Rock am Stock" will bring genuine open-air feeling with powerful rock sounds starting at 8 PM.
Sunday, June 14, 2026, is dedicated to the fire department and starts at 10 AM with a varied program. In addition to speeches from invited guests of honor, there will be promotions for active fire department members as well as awards for deserving members of the support association. Visitors can also look forward to an exciting exhibition of modern and historical fire engines, hands-on technology, information about the 100-year history of the fire department, and insights into the possibilities of active membership. There will be games and fun for children.
