As part of the LEADER project “Establishing a Sustainable Tourism Cooperation in the Tri-Border Region of Germany – France – Luxembourg”, the Lokale Aktionsgruppe Land zum Leben Merzig-Wadern e.V. is pleased to invite you to a press trip through the tri-border region from 15 to 18 June 2026. Under the motto “3 Countries – One Region”, you can expect a diverse discovery tour through the tri-border region – characterized by cultural diversity, impressive landscapes and outstanding culinary experiences.
During the four-day trip, you will gain exclusive insights into tourism offerings as well as into the lived cross-border cooperation in the region.
The programme includes, among others:

• cultural highlights such as the Igeler Column and the Schengen Museum
• remarkable nature experiences, including the Haff Réimech nature reserve, the House of Nature and Tourism, and the Saar Loop
• enjoyable encounters with regional producers during several wine tastings
• as well as visits to major sites such as the town of Saarburg, the Château de Sierck, and the Hackenberg Maginot Line site
