The Mosel Musikfestival is the largest and oldest music festival in Rhineland-Palatinate, and not without reason.
What makes it so special? A zest for life!
A beautiful river landscape, fruity Riesling wines, and great music performed in special architecture, in opulent historic buildings, sacred spaces, industrial sites and exquisite wineries.
The program is a mix of artistic challenges, extraordinary experiments and music at the highest international level.
Music just belongs to the Mosel
Other cultural events
Top-class cultural events in a historic setting
Other events typical of the Moselle, such as the Zeltingen-Rachtig Operetta Festival and the Trier Unterlwelten, as well as the Winninger Art Days, which take place every two years, also demonstrate high cultural value. In addition, many other cultural events such as Roman festivals, concerts, theater and cabaret performances, international museum day and exhibitions delight guests and locals.
The recurring special exhibitions at the Rhineland Federalstate museum in Trier are well worth a visit. The museum is considered one of the most important archaeological museums in Germany and documents 200,000 years of history and cultural development.
