At the first performance of the Paddington Trio at the 31st Piano Summer, there was an immediate spark between the exciting young ensemble and the audience in Cochem. The energy, tonal finesse, and communicative power of the trio have everywhere created a desire for a return invitation. American pianist Stephanie Tang met Cochem as a participant in the John Perry masterclass. In 2020, she founded the Paddington Trio in London with Irish cellist Patrick Moriarty and Finnish violinist Tuulia Hero, which has since established itself as a mainstay in the international chamber music scene. This season's program includes piano trios by Haydn, Ravel, and Beethoven.
