76. Wine and folk festival in Konz

The large local and wine festival around the concert hall offers a colorful program for young and old.

Four days full of enjoyment, music, and good cheer around the Concert Town Hall!

The popular “Concert Homeland and Wine Festival” is entering its 76th round and invites you to a lively celebration full of regional wines, diverse live music, and entertaining program highlights.
Numerous bands, artists, and local clubs provide a colorful and captivating program on all days.

The opening evening traditionally starts with the presentation of the candidates for the position of Saar-Obermosel wine royalty on the main stage. This is followed by a festive fireworks display accompanied by music. Afterwards, the celebration continues in the marketplace with live music.
From 6:30 p.m. reception of the guest wine queens at the harbor of the Water Sports Club Konz and ride with the motorboats to the landing stage on Saarstraße; afterwards in the vintage car parade with the winemaker band Oberemmel to the official opening at the festival grounds  (initiated by the Motorsport Club Konz).
8:00 p.m. Official opening of the Homeland and Wine Festival with the music association “Harmonie” Könen.
Presentation of the candidates for the position of Saar-Obermosel wine royalty.
9:15/9:30 p.m. Performances by the show dance groups “Rainbow”.
10:30 p.m. Grand opening fireworks with musical accompaniment.
11:00 p.m. Unplugged music with “Dancefloor”.
From 8:30 p.m. on the HdJ Konz stage behind Administrative Building II: DJ Night Thrilling sounds, changing DJs, and a real party atmosphere.

On Saturday evening, visitors can look forward to more musical highlights with fantastic bands.
3:00 p.m. JAM session
8:30 p.m. Party music with the band “Teamwork”.
From 8:00 p.m. on the HdJ Konz stage behind Administrative Building II:
Newcomer on Stage. Celebrate with up-and-coming bands and artists from the region.

The Sunday is dedicated to families.
Starting at 8:00 a.m., a large old and young timer exhibition organized by the Motor Sports Club Konz e.V. 1974 will take place all day in the parking lot of the furniture store Martin.
10:30 a.m. Festive service at the festival grounds (in case of rain in the parish church St. Nikolaus).
11:30 a.m. A selection of rare and particularly beautiful vehicles will drive in a procession to the marketplace at noon on Sunday, where they will be welcomed on behalf of everyone by the mayor.
The current Saar-Obermosel wine royalty will also be picked up here and chauffeured in open vintage cars to the event area at the parking lot of Möbel Martin.
2:00 - 6:00 p.m.: Westwall Museum is open.
2:30 p.m. Puppet theater TOPS presents the fairy tale “Ki Ka Kasper and the Bank Robber,” for children aged 4 years and up (festival grounds) 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. (behind Administrative Building II): Family afternoon with the mobile play unit Konz Fun, games, and activities for young and old.
3:30 p.m. Performance by the “little” group of the show dance group “Rainbow” (festival grounds).
7:30 p.m. Live music by the band Soul & More .
From 9:00 p.m. on the HdJ Konz stage behind Administrative Building II: Public viewing, final match of the football World Cup.

On Monday, the wine stands will open in the afternoon. In the evening, live music will once again provide a cheerful atmosphere and a festive conclusion to the festival.
3:00 p.m. Entertainment with the duo “Lucky Lips”.
8:00 p.m. Rock & Pop with the band “Viva La Vida".

In addition to the stage program, numerous stands offer a wide culinary selection. The gourmet zone this year is operated by the country inn Kopp. On the terrace of the Ratskeller, Falko Weiss offers hearty cuisine.

Opening hours of the wine stands:
Friday from 6:00 p.m.
Saturday from 5:00 p.m.
Sunday from 11:00 a.m.
Monday from 2:00 p.m.

Also take the shuttle buses from the surrounding towns to visit the Concert Homeland and Wine Festival.
