When "Wool" Petry left the stage in autumn 2006, it didn't take long for his son Achim Petry to fill it with life again. Already in 2007, he released his first album "...just like me," which made waves with titles like "Nobody loves you..." and the official Jungle Camp song "Jungle Madness." At the same time, he successfully went on tour under the motto "The madness continues" – with newly arranged hits from his father.
However, his musical career began much earlier: In the late 1990s, Achim Petry was a member of the boy band Trademark, performing on international stages. Together with his bandmates, he toured through Europe and Asia, played as the opening act for Westlife, and accompanied Wolfgang Petry on his grand stadium tour in 1999. Trademark celebrated major successes in Asia with songs like "Only Love" and "I'll Be the One" – some tracks were even covered there by stars like Jacky Cheung or Eason Chan. After the band's dissolution in the early 2000s, Achim pursued his own musical path. In 2013, he released his second studio album "My Way," featuring the single "Your Love is Madness," which showcased Achim's musical independence. A year later, the album "In the Middle" followed, which set a true milestone with the duet "Lifeboat" featuring Wolfgang Petry: The title reached number 1 on the DJ charts.
Achim Petry has performed on countless major stages – including the Kiel Week, the SWR Festival, Der Berg bebt in Switzerland, the Waldbühne Berlin, and city festivals in Magdeburg and Dresden. In 2017, he was part of the successful tour "The Schlager Night of the Year," with performances in cities like Cologne, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Mannheim.
Since 2024, Achim has been part of the project "Drews Cordalis Petry," where he presents the greatest hits of their famous fathers in a new sound together with Joelina Drews and Lucas Cordalis. The three have already appeared multiple times on major TV shows like "Schlagerboom," "The Schlager Champions," "ZDF-Fernsehgarten," and "Always Again on Sundays." With over 25 years of stage experience, three successful albums, and numerous TV and festival appearances, Achim Petry is now an independent figure in the German music industry – connected to tradition but with a very own style.
