Halfblind Henry sounds like someone who grew up in London during the 1960s and 70s, having spent a hundred years prior in the Southern states. The list of musicians who have inspired him is long. He draws from all sources of Anglo-American song tradition but is not confined to any genre, always open to experiments and unexpected turns.

He observes his surroundings and
processes his impressions into lyrics that can be profound, sarcastic, or surreal.
At his concerts, he primarily plays his own compositions but also brings along exciting finds from his extensive journeys through music history. Each Halfblind Henry concert is new every time, different every time, and never disappoints. Halfblind Henry unfolds his impressive musical range in solo performances and even more so with his band, the "Instabilities," a loose collective of like-minded musicians, equally skilled, fearless, and adventurous, who come together in ever-changing constellations to realize Henry's musical ideas.
Whether it’s guitar and double bass, an acoustic trio, classically trained string players meeting Big Band brass, or a bluegrass fiddle enriching the songs alongside a jazz guitarist and a Japanese improvisational artist on drums: there is no standard lineup; each configuration is an original.
