We explore local herbs during this 2-hour hike while guiding alpacas. The distance is manageable and easy to handle.
On this two-hour herbal hike through the unique and varied Moselle and vineyard landscape around our beautiful traditional village of Riol, gentle alpacas will accompany us, as they also love herbs. While Helga Schmitz, an knowledgeable cultural and wine ambassador as well as a trained nature experience guide, shares her knowledge with us, the alpacas enjoy welcome feeding breaks. We will not only learn about plant names and plant families but also about various active ingredients, which part of the plant can be harvested when, and how to best use or preserve them. The focus is on this and on the healthy and healing native wild herbs during the herbal walk. It is also about the connection between humans, animals, and nature. A beautiful deceleration away from the hustle and bustle.
