We explore local herbs during this 2-hour hike while guiding alpacas. The distance is manageable and easy to handle.
During this two-hour herbal hike in the unique and diverse Moselle and vineyard landscape around our beautiful traditional village of Riol, we are accompanied by gentle alpacas, as they also love herbs. While Helga Schmitz, a knowledgeable cultural and wine ambassador as well as a trained nature experience guide, shares her knowledge with us, the alpacas enjoy welcome snack breaks. We will learn not only plant names and families but also about active ingredients, which part of the plant can be harvested when, and how to best use or preserve them. This herbal hike is about that and the healthy and healing native wild herbs, as well as the connection between humans, animals, and nature. It is a beautiful slow-down beyond the hustle and bustle, including a small snack break.
