At Ruf Records, one milestone chases the next: Just recently, the internationally renowned blues/rock label celebrated its 30th anniversary in grand style, and now its popular live revue Blues Caravan is up next. In 2026, the show will go on a world tour for the 20th time. The list of artists who made the big career leap through the Blues Caravan is as long as it is impressive. This includes, among others, Ana Popovic, Samantha Fish, Aynsley Lister, and Joanne Shaw Taylor – just to name a few.
The three headliners of the anniversary edition, who now follow in their footsteps, embody an exciting mix of experience, great emotion, and youthful freshness.
Laura Chavez, hailing from California, is certainly the most well-known among them. The gifted guitarist was the driving force in the band of singer Candye Kane (Blues Caravan 2005 & 2008) for many years and has played countless concerts alongside Nikki Hill, Vanessa Collier, and rock 'n' roll legend Mitch Ryder. Chavez knows how to captivate any audience with her song-serving rhythm guitar and her captivating electric guitar solos. Her excellent reputation in the scene was confirmed when she won the Blues Music Award for "Best Instrumentalist – Guitar" in 2023 – making her the first female guitarist to do so. Chavez will take the stage as a solo artist for the first time as part of the Blues Caravan.
Matthew Curry is a true insider tip for those familiar with the blues and rock scene. The American has been gracing North American stages for over a decade, delighting fans with his unmistakable sound that blends blues, rock, and Americana. He has shared the stage with giants like Peter Frampton, the Steve Miller Band, the Doobie Brothers, and Blackberry Smoke.
Joining the lineup is newcomer Elise Frank from France. As the frontwoman of the formation FRANK, founded in 2021, she has already performed at renowned music festivals such as the Cognac Blues Passions Festival and the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival. Her performances on the upcoming Caravan tour are eagerly anticipated.
Even after 20 years and hundreds of shows, the proven concept of the Blues Caravan remains unchanged. Each of the three headliners will first perform a complete live set before all come together for an exciting jam session at the end.
Doors open at 8:00 PM.
