Every year around May 1st, the Blossom and Wine Festival invites you to the beautiful Moselle district of "Güls."
The starting shot will be fired on Thursday, April 30, at 7 PM with the opening of the wine and snack stands in the festival square at Gülser Plan. At 7:30 PM, the official opening of the Blossom Festival will take place, led by Mayor David Langner, with the proclamation and ceremonial crowning of the new Blossom Queen and her princesses. Afterwards, the band Zlosh invites everyone to the traditional “Dance into May,” ensuring a lively, wine-soaked atmosphere around the wine stands.
On Friday, May 1, the program begins at 11 AM with open wine stands and a musical brunch by the Musical Community Güls/Lay. From 1 PM, the Zündkerzen and the Blossom Festival Children's Circus will provide entertainment for young and old alike. A fixed component of the Blossom Festival is the raising of the Maypole, which will take place at 3 PM by the Volunteer Fire Brigade Güls. At 5 PM, the Schängelgugge will entertain visitors, before the band Sixbit brings musical life to the festival square starting at 7 PM.
Saturday, May 2 is all about social evening hours. The wine stands will open at 7 PM, while the Donnerloch Boys band will create a great atmosphere around the wine fountain.
On Sunday, May 3, the wine stands will open at 11 AM. A concert by the Musical Community Güls/Lay will kick off the musical program. From 12:30 PM and again at 4:30 PM, musical walking acts will provide entertainment on the festival grounds. At 1:30 PM, the Blossom Festival Varieté and a children's play area will especially invite families to linger. The Blossom Festival will conclude with the traditional evening of local culture at the wine stands starting at 5:30 PM, where the band Tuesday’s Gone will provide music and a festive atmosphere.
The Gülser Blossom Festival 2026 promises once again carefree festive days, lived tradition, and enjoyable hours on the Mosel.
You can look forward to a colorful program for young and old. During the day, the music club will perform a concert with coffee and cake, the Maypole will be raised, or variety artists will bring children's eyes to sparkle, while in the evening, bands from the region will heat up the festival square. Here, wine lovers and culture enthusiasts come together to enjoy the best of both worlds.
