Celtic wine feast Zell-Kaimt

Celtic Prince Horgar invites you to linger in a fairytale - rustic setting! Hearty food, individual wines and live music in all facets will delight your heart and soul! Enjoy one of the oldest street wine festivals on the Moselle!

️⚔️ The legend lives on – Celtic wine festival in Kaimt from August 28 to 30, 2026 ⚔️⚔️
Long ago, when the Celts lived by the Moselle and the Romans were seeking to expand their territories, the Celtic chieftain Horgar is said to have saved Kaimt from a bloody battle with a clever ruse.
According to legend, the Romans approached from the opposite side of the Moselle, ready to conquer. But Horgar did not reach for his sword – he invited the Romans to a grand feast. For three days and three nights, there was celebration: Food was served, drinks were poured, laughter rang out, and people sat together at the tables.
The Romans held their ground bravely, but in the end, they were no longer able to face a battle. Instead of wielding their swords, they lay full and contented by the banks of the Moselle. Thanks to Horgar's cunning, Kaimt was spared from a fight between Celts and Romans.
To this day, the Celtic wine festival commemorates this legendary event – a celebration of community, wine, and friendship, where the sword is not what matters, but the shared enjoyment.
