Music festival
Program: Anton Bruckner – Symphony No. 2 in C minor
Since its founding over a hundred years ago, this orchestra has brought music to the people – for it has never had its own concert hall, and the musicians have always been and continue to be on the road throughout the country.
A man who significantly contributed to the international reputation of the orchestra will once again take the podium at our festival: Christoph Eschenbach, principal conductor from 1979 to 1983. For the internationally successful pianist, the state philharmonic was one of his first stops as a conductor.
That evening, Anton Bruckner's 2nd Symphony will be performed, famous for its virtuosic counterpoint as well as its massive sound cathedrals. A work perfectly suited for a festive closing weekend of our festival.
