Cochemer Organ Matinees
When the sun shines through the high windows of the parish church St. Martin in Cochem in the morning, bathing the church space in warm light, the organ matinee begins. With the first powerful as well as delicate sounds of the organ, music fills the spacious nave, allowing everyday life to fall into the background for a moment.
The organ matinee invites you to pause, listen, and enjoy. In approximately 40 minutes, a varied program unfolds with works from different periods of organ music – ranging from solemn and majestic to calm and meditative. The special acoustics of the church give each note depth and breadth, making the concert an impressive sonic experience.
Carried by the atmosphere of the sacred space, music connects with silence and contemplation. Thus, the organ matinee at St. Martin becomes not only a musical event but also a little break for the mind and soul – open to locals, guests, and everyone who wants to be touched by the power of organ music.
