Here in Kobern-Gondorf, Master Lampe always puts a lot of effort into it: On Easter Sunday, you can admire what is probably the "largest Easter nest on the Moselle", with a proud five meters in diameter. The nest is filled to the brim with hundreds of colorful Easter eggs. And the best part: Each egg is a lucky egg, provided with a lottery number. For a small fee, anyone - big or small - can take part in the egg spooning. The spooning is done with a huge, long-handled wooden spoon.

Easter market with regional products

The traditional Easter market will take place on Easter Sunday, 09 April 2023, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of the picturesque backdrop around the Tatzelwurm on the historic market square in Kobern. At the stalls suppliers*innen of the region present their goods and products. In addition to a wide variety of creative handicrafts, the Easter market also offers exquisite delicacies, such as mustard, vinegar, spices and medicinal herbs. Garden lovers will find, for example, garden decorations made of metal or wood. Of course, the Easter Bunny will not miss the opportunity to surprise the children personally this year. At 2 p.m. the men's choir Kobern-Gondorf will delight you with beautiful spring songs. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the wine majesties offer a handicraft activity for children in the knights' hall. From 3 to 4 p.m. the music association Kobern will entertain you. In the abbey courtyard there will be an art exhibition all day long. The physical well-being of the visitors is also well catered for: for example, bratwurst, currywurst, french fries, kibbeling, poffertjes, stroop and bubble waffles are on offer. The adults can look forward to Moselle Riesling from the Koberner terraces. In addition, the local gastronomy invites you to feast on regional delicacies - from sweet to savory, there should be something for every palate. Following the Easter market, the association Weinfreunde Kobern-Gondorf e.V. cordially invites all citizens and guests to a twilight pint in the Knights' Hall starting at 6 pm.
