Martin Tingvall, who navigates genres such as film music, classical, jazz, and pop with equal ease, plays seemingly simple-sounding, profoundly beautiful melodies on this album that evoke associations with classical music at times, reflect his roots in Scandinavian folk music at other times, and in the next moment come close to the improvisational freedom of jazz. He has long since left behind conventional genre boundaries and created his own Tingvall sound world from various sources of inspiration.
