Rag Doll was founded in 2012 by singer Käthe von T. and pianist Amy Protscher – inspired by Bessie Smith and the sound of the 1920s. With trombonist Ulrikke Hanspach-Torkildsen, the trio takes its audience into the world of Ragtime, Boogie Woogie, and Harlem Stride. Every stage transforms into a Juke Joint – full of swing, soul, and passion. And as it goes in places like these: listening, swinging, and dancing is allowed until the air is on fire.
