Originally from Tasmania, Australia, Rob's explosive energy and inventive style stand out, combining blues, blues rock, and classic rock with distinctive accents that make his sound unique. His influences range from legends like Cream, Hendrix, BB King, and AC/DC, all of which are audible in his musical fabric.
Throughout his eventful career, Tognoni has performed for and with music icons such as Roy Buchanan, Lonnie Mack (mentor of Stevie Ray Vaughan), Joe Walsh of The Eagles, Peter Green, Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, Sting, and Bo Diddley. His extensive performance history spans from high-security prisons in Australia to the grandeur of Mozart's house in Vienna, showcasing his wide appeal as an artist. He had the honor of representing Australia at the royal wedding celebrations of King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark and performed at the FIFA World Cup. Over the last 30 years, Rob has released 27 albums through renowned labels like Provogue, Dixiefrog, and Blues Boulevard, all while maintaining a relentless touring schedule around the globe.
