Concert with Alex Beyrodt & Friends in the Ducsaal

Beyrodt, one of the top guitarists in the metal and hard rock scene, has gathered high-profile friends to reinterpret rock quakes around the "epicenters" – songs by Deep Purple and Rainbow. With "due respect" to the original, but in a completely unique way. The special thing: these are interpretations of this music that you won't hear anywhere else. Everything that happens on stage occurs in the moment of its creation – with intuition, feeling, and through the years of routine of the musicians in ensemble.

As a singer, Beyrodt was able to enlist Ronnie Romero, who became internationally known as the frontman of Ritchie Blackmore's latest Rainbow lineup, worked with ex-Whitesnake guitarist Adrian Vandenberg and most recently with Michael Schenker. Beyrodt's fellow countryman from Saarland, Rudi Spiller aka Gulli Rock (Jennifer Batten), is the all-purpose weapon on bass and vocals. A live musician of the old school, who has played thousands of concerts in different configurations. One of the last to make a real, steaming Hammond roar is organist Hannes Luy. He recently toured with his band Rook Road alongside Glenn Hughes & Nazareth. On drums is Markus Kullmann (Voodoo Circle, Glenn Hughes), whose power and style are indeed comparable to the legendary Led Zeppelin drummer Jon Bonham. Together, this quintet will create something familiar, yet completely magically new from the well-known templates.
