Organ and Wine - A Different Wine Tasting Experience
Sunday, June 28, 2026, 5 PM
We warmly invite you to a very special musical journey, where the tonal colors of music by Bach or Mendelssohn, interpreted on the organ, the queen of instruments, meet the flavors of Gietzen wines. Immerse yourself in a unique experience of sensory impressions: we are allowed to hear and taste how wine and music illuminate each other, how an organ composition can suddenly emanate the berry scent of a Pinot Noir or how a Riesling with its fresh minerality can play around a prelude by Johann Sebastian Bach. Winemaker Albrecht Gietzen will present a selection of wines in the St. Rochus Church in Hatzenport, and Josef Still, long-time cathedral organist in Trier, will interpret the corresponding organ works on the Schlaad-Engers organ in St. Rochus.
Afterwards, we will let the experienced tonal colors resonate during a 3-course menu at the winery.
