The Crown Ballet® returns to Germany with its celebrated classical production of "The Nutcracker" and brings the beloved Christmas ballet to the stage of the Rhein-Mosel-Halle in Koblenz on December 21, 2026. The performance combines fairy-tale poetry, thrilling music, and dazzling choreography – an unforgettable experience for the whole family and a festive start to the Advent season.
A timeless masterpiece by Tchaikovsky, "The Nutcracker" is one of the most famous and beloved ballets of all time. Based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King," the piece tells the tale of young Marie, who receives a nutcracker doll from her godfather Drosselmeier at Christmas. In the night, imagination comes to life: The nutcracker transforms into a prince, and together they embark on a fairy-tale adventure full of courage, wonder, and festive magic. Accompanied by the timeless music of Peter I. Tchaikovsky, a world unfolds in which dreams become reality – featuring sparkling snowflakes, dancing sugar fairies, and a choreography that enchants the audience.
Live music from a fantastic orchestra The musical accompaniment is provided by the Crown Ballet Orchestra, founded in 2023. The ensemble unites professional musicians from around the world – including from Spain, Ukraine, Moldova, Mexico, Georgia, and China. This cultural diversity shapes the distinctive sound of the orchestra and gives the performance exceptional depth and emotional intensity.
