Marcel Adam is a French-German chansonnier and songwriter, known especially in the border region between Saarland, Lorraine, and the Palatinate. His music and performance are strongly influenced by this unique location: he is a cultural border crosser who connects languages, cultures, and musical traditions. Marcel Adam sings in three languages: standard German, French, and Lorraine dialect, a Moselle Franconian vernacular. His songs often tell of life in the border region, everyday stories, humor, love, loss, or aging.
Stylistically, Marcel Adam moves between French chanson, German singer-songwriter artistry, and dialect music.
