The artist Christiane Mohr, born in Winningen, has been dedicated to painting since 1992. She follows her inner energy without constraint or pressure and pursues her inspirations. Christiane Mohr works informally and does not limit herself by rules or styles. Her paintings emerge from the painting process itself. The materials of her works are diverse, as in this exhibition: Oil paints influence us in a special way; they create moods and shape impressions, emphasize statements, and spark our imagination. We feel attracted or repelled, sense warmth or cold, dynamism or calm, so that a color experience touches not only the eye but also the other senses. Acrylic mixed media structures enliven works and underscore the three-dimensionality and plasticity that artists so often want to achieve visually in their actually two-dimensional works. Nepalese Kahari paper materials lead to very specific results that result in aesthetically extremely appealing works.
