The Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, located on the rocky spur above the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, is now considered part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley.
The facility is part of a system of military fortifications surrounding the city of Koblenz. However, it captivates not only with a 5000-year history but also with a wonderful panorama and a vibrant cultural center featuring interesting exhibitions. Overall, you can stroll through the facility for several hours. On the one-hour guided tour, you will experience how history comes alive through original historic sites, from the defensive structures of the Romans to knightly castles and the Prussian fortress: what would an attack and defense of the fortress have looked like?
