The Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, located on the rocky outcrop above the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, is now considered part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley." The facility is part of a system of military fortifications around the city of Koblenz, but not only captivates with its 5,000-year history but also with a magnificent panorama and a lively cultural center featuring interesting exhibitions. In total, you can stroll through the facility for several hours.
On the one-hour guided tour, you will experience how history comes alive through original historical sites, from the fortifications of the Romans to castles of the knights and the Prussian fortress: What would an attack and defense of the fortress have looked like?
