Spring concert by the Koblenz concert orchestra
With its spring concert, the Concert Orchestra Koblenz invites you on April 10, 2027, to a musical journey through the “Worlds of Emotions”.
The diverse program combines different styles and timbres into a sonorous journey through various emotions – from powerful drama to reflective moments, culminating in infectious energy and great melodies. A solo highlight of the concert is the “World Trombone Concerto” by Steven Verhelst. In both virtuosic and lyrical passages, the work impressively showcases the tonal possibilities of the trombone. Additionally, excerpts from the tragic “Third Symphony” by James Barnes highlight the emotional depth of symphonic wind music. Particularly, the third movement “Mesto (for Natalie)” touches the audience with its intense expressiveness before the work concludes with the lively “Allegro Giocoso”. Moreover, the program spans a range from modern symphonic wind music to the exhilarating film score from “How To Train Your Dragon”.
Friends of musicals can also look forward to excerpts from one of the most well-known works in this genre. The Concert Orchestra Koblenz is excited to welcome its audience to an emotional and varied concert evening.
