3.5-hour SUP tour for advanced paddlers with a SUP guide, rental equipment for the duration of the course (SUP, paddle, leash & life jacket or Restube), brief theoretical introduction, proper body posture and paddling technique during distance paddling. We start directly at the dam at the weir in Schoden and paddle into the nature reserve of the Saarbogen. This area is distinguished by the wonderful landscape between the vineyards. Here, small rapids, many water lilies, and a few small islands await us. After about 5 km, we reach the well-marked portage point, which means the end of the Saarbogen and the access to the Saarkanal, where we will again paddle about 2.5 km back to the entry point. The tour has a total length of about 7.5 km. Meeting point: at the dam at the weir in Schoden. Parking is available at the sports field. Please bring: SUP clothing = board shorts, bikini or lycra in summer. Non-absorbing sports clothing (lycra) also works. Sun protection (head covering, sunscreen), towel, and swimwear. Suitable for: As the Saarbogen has small rapids, the tour is recommended for advanced paddlers. Price: €49.00 per person. The tour on the Saar bend near Schoden is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful round tours in the region.
We start directly at the weir at the dam in Schoden and paddle into the nature reserve of the Saar bend. This area impresses with its wonderful landscape between the vineyards. Here, small rapids, many water lilies, and some small islands await us. After about 5 km, we reach the well-marked carry-over point, which marks the end of the Saar bend and the access to the Saar canal, on which we paddle back approximately 2.5 km to the starting point. The total length of the tour is about 7.5 km.
