Summer holiday fun with nature and landscape guide Monika Schmitz on and in the Lieser in Wittlich. Equipped with a flour sieve and/or landing net, we set off on an approx. 2,5-hour Lieser exploration adventure. We discover large and small "river dwellers", fish stony treasures out of the water, solve tricky puzzles and learn in a playful way why rivers are important and worth protecting.
On Saturday, 12 July 2025, children aged 6 and over, accompanied by an adult, can look forward to an exciting time on and in the Lieser - with facts, water quality determination, games and puzzles suitable for children. The meeting point is the playground at the Lieser, ‘Ecke Feldstraße/Am Stadtpark’ in Wittlich at 10 am. Please bring water shoes or rubber boots, as we will also be in the Lieser - mum and/or dad should also bring rubber boots.
You can register now at the Wittlich Stadt & Land tourist information centre in the old town hall on the market square in Wittlich, tel. 06571/146624 or you can buy your tickets at www.ticket-regional.de. As we will be travelling around the banks of the Lieser, please register adults to accompany you (max. 2 children/accompanying adults). The price for adult participants is €10. For children €8.00/person.
