Goya & Dali - Los Caprichos

A comparison

Original Images by Goya & Dali

About 80 etchings by Francisco de Goya and Salvador Dali will be on display in the "Alte Schule" hall.

Francisco Goya's "Los Caprichos" (1746-1828) satirically depict the human weaknesses of society and politics of his time, which still hold true today. Salvador Dali (1904-1989) revised these in the spirit of his exalted behavior and his traumatic-irrational imagination, resulting in newly encoded, as well as visually striking and exciting images.
