Treasure hunt for the whole family
We do not know if there was a treasure in the fortress or if a treasure is still hidden deep under the earth. But one thing we know for sure: there were plenty of cannonballs at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Was there also a golden one among them? Find out and embark on a journey through the 5000-year history of the fortress.
Equipped with a treasure map, you will navigate across the fortress, passing dark corridors, cannons, and mystical places... At the end of the adventure, you will not only have learned a lot of amazing things about the fortress, but there is also a very special reward waiting for you.
The treasure map is available in different difficulty levels directly at the ticket counter in the entrance building of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Even children from the age of five can participate in the hunt with a little help. The version for ages 14 and up is quite tricky, ensuring that adults will have a lot of fun too. The puzzles can be solved independently from March 1 to March 29, always on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. No registration is required.
Date: March 1 - 29, 2026, Saturdays + Sundays, each from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: Cultural Center Ehrenbreitstein Fortress
Cost: included in the fortress entrance fee
Registration: not required
TIP: From March 14, float back to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress with the cable car!
