On the last weekend in August, Cochem celebrates its local history and wine festival, which is one of the largest and most beautiful on the Moselle. There will be extensive celebrations on the Moselle promenade and in Cochem's "good parlour", the market square.
Fine Riesling wines and sparkling Riesling wines can be tasted at the numerous wine stands. On two stages, many bands and show bands provide first-class entertainment. And, of course, there will be plenty to eat and drink. The highlight is always Sunday. At 2.00 p.m. the big parade starts through the streets and alleys of Cochem town centre. At 10.00 p.m., visitors can look forward to the colourful Brilliant fireworks display.
