Pilgrimage adventure on the Mosel Camino: Former BND Chief Gerhard Schindler and daughter Rebecca share their personal, touching, and inspiring stories.
Insider Tip Mosel - A former intelligence chief and his daughter pilgrimage the Mosel Camino
As part of "Culture in the Pilgrimage Church," former intelligence chief Gerhard Schindler and his daughter Rebecca present the book "Insider Tip Mosel." In a conversation with Father Albert Seul OP, they discuss their experiences on the Mosel Camino and what the pilgrimage has meant to them. During the Mosel Camino, the two also stopped in Klausen and the Klausen Pilgrimage Church, thus completing a circle with this event for them. Passages from the book will be read at the event, and images from the journey will be shown on the screen.
A father, a daughter, one path. Gerhard Schindler, former president of the BND, and his daughter Rebecca, an editor, pilgrimage for eight days along the over 160-kilometer-long Mosel Camino – and rediscover each other in the process. After a life in public service, Schindler wants to reconnect with his now 38-year-old daughter. Will this be successful while hiking from Koblenz-Stolzenfels to Trier? “Insider Tip Mosel” not only provides exciting insights into and around the pilgrimage path along the Mosel, but also reports on an intensive father-daughter time, the power of walking, and the courage to emotionally open up to one another. One of the most beautiful cultural landscapes in Germany serves as more than just a backdrop. A personal and enriching travel report.
This event is a charity event for the support association of the Wittlich Hospice and is held in cooperation with "Fascination Mosel."
