The concert programs of the Kammerorchester Basel are as diverse as the 47 musicians. The repertoire ranges from early music on historical instruments to historically informed interpretations and contemporary music.

Together with Avi Avital – who is responsible for the spectacular comeback of the nearly forgotten mandolin – the Kammerorchester Basel, under the direction of violinist Hugo Ticciati, has created a program that is perfectly suited for our opening concert in Trier at St. Maximin:

Under the title “Esprit Français,” works by Debussy, Ravel, and Dukas will be heard, as well as those by Haydn and Hummel, along with film composers Greenwood and Legrand. Superb!
