Invitation to a sound performance during Lent
“Whoever has ears, let them hear.” (Mt. 13:9)
The season of Lent invites us to consciously cease certain activities: consumption, media, constant distraction, or excessive work. It offers us the opportunity to pause and creates space for what is essential. Additionally, the act of stopping also means listening, paying attention, and introspecting to discover what moves us. This way, we open our minds to the presence of God.
Under the motto "stop listening," we warmly invite you to a special sound performance with sound impressionist Franz-Josef König from Dieblich:
When: March 30, 2025, at 7:00 PM
Where: St. John Apostle Parish Church, Dieblich
With the sounds of gongs, handpans, and other instruments, Franz-Josef König opens a space of silence. He invites participants to engage in listening and attuning themselves. Thus, the church transforms into a place of inner reflection and contemplation.
The unique acoustics of the parish church create a resonant space that makes sounds tangible and allows for experiencing God. In the stillness of Lent, we find space to reflect, to listen, and to rediscover the essentials in our lives.
The sound performance lasts about 1 hour. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to exchange thoughts over a cup of tea. Participation is free of charge. We appreciate any donations, which will be given to a charitable cause.
Doors open at 6:30 PM. For more information, please visit www.klangmystik.de
